KALEIDOSCOPE ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER (YELLOW OXIDE). A general purpose primer having good rust inhibitive properties. Has good wetting properties for bonding to poorly prepared surfaces. Used for steel, zinc, aluminium and galvanised iron surfaces.

General Surface Preparation
Remove all dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose & semi-adherent paint work, rust, miliscale and other debris to obtain a clean dry sound surface.
Steel: Clean to Hand Tool or Power Tool finish, SSPC – SP-2 or 3, but preferably abrasive blast clean to Brush-off or Commercial finish, SSPC – SP-7 or 6.
Directions for use:
Stir thoroughly before use. After suitable surface preparation, apply 1 or 2 coats of Kaleidoscope Yellow Zinc Chromate Metal Primer (2 if the surface has been blast cleaned). Finish with an appropriate Kaleidoscope paint system. Brush or roller, for Health and Safety reasons related to all solvent-based paints, spray application is not recommended.
