Kaleidoscope Polyurethane Clear Varnish Super Gloss (Quart)

General Surface Preparation

New and Unvarnished: Ensure surface is dry and cleaned free of all dust, dirt, oil, grease and other debris. Fill all holes, cracks and crevices etc. with a proprietary wood filler. Rub down with abrasive paper to obtain a smooth, firm surface.

Previously Varnished: Remove any loose, flaking, cracking, peeling, semi adherent varnish, dirt, dust, oil, grease and other debris. Fill all holes, cracks, crevices, etc., with a proprietary wood filler. Rub down with abrasive paper to obtain a smooth, firm surface.

N.B. The hardwood TEAK is very prone to inhibit the drying of varnishes. Repeated thorough wiping with rags soaked with Kaleidoscope Thinner 2000 or 2003, or Turps Substitute can avoid the problem. Frequent changes of rag are beneficial. If the surface is not exposed to direct sunlight, apply 1 coat Kaleidoscope N.C. Sanding Sealer to the bare wood as a “barrier coat” before applying Kaleidoscope Polyurethane Clear Varnish.

Directions for Use

:

New and Unvarnished:
a. Full exposure to direct sunlight – Apply 1st coat Kaleidoscope Polyurethane Clear Varnish thinned 25%

b. No exposure to direct sunlight – an alternative to (a) above, apply 1 coat Kaleidoscope N.C. Sanding Sealer

c. Follow (a) or (b) with 2 full coats Kaleidoscope Polyurethane Clear Varnish

Previously Painted:
On bare wood areas, apply 1 or 2 coats Kaleidoscope Polyurethane Clear Varnish. Then over the entire surface, apply 1 or 2 coats Kaleidoscope Polyurethane Clear Varnish.

Do not use where there is direct exposure to sunlight.
