General Surface Preparation
Concrete: Allow to cure for at least 60 days. Floors at ground level must have effective dam proofing to avoid subsequent paint blistering. Also treat with 10% muriatic acid solution, apply 1 litre to 5 sq.m. (55sq.ft.) for 10- 15 mins to remove surface layer 01 laitance to avoid subsequent paint peeling. Allow to dry thoroughly. Then brush free 01 all residues to obtain clean surface.
Wood: Fill any cracks, crevices and holes with Kaleidoscope Linseed Oil Putty, sand with abrasive paper to a smooth finish. Treat all knots with 2 thin coats Kaleidoscope Knotting Varnish.
Previously Painted: Remove any peeling and blistering paint by scraping and rubbing down with abrasive paper. Remove traces of wax or polish with Kaleidoscope Water-Rinsable Degreasing Solvent.
Directions for Use
:
New and Unpainted: Apply 1st coat thinned 10%, then apply 2nd coat of Kaleidoscope Epoxy Floor Enamel.
Previously Painted: To bare concrete and wood areas apply 1 coat Kaleidoscope Epoxy Floor Enamel. Then over the entire surface apply 1 coat of Kaleidoscope Epoxy Floor Enamel.
